Inside/Outside Shooting

Inside/Outside Shooting

Hello everyone, quick question on what the ratings of Inside Shooting and Outside Shooting actually encompass. I assume outside shooting includes three pointers but I don’t know if midrange shots are included in outside shooting too or if midrange shots are in inside shooting. I also don’t know if layups are part of inside shooting.

Not an expert by any means...but if you go into commish mode and look at a player...there are 4 shot making attributes...FG-R...FG-P...FG-M and FG-3P. My take...FG-R (dunks/layups)...FG-P (paint attempts)...FG-M(2P)...FG (3P).
If those assumptions are right then the IS rating applies to the first 2 and OS rating the later 2. My take only. Experts need to way in.
