Trades in Sandbox mode

Trades in Sandbox mode

Postby tim2339 » Tue Oct 13, 2020 2:17 pm

I've started a sandbox career with my lad (so we could effectively play 2 player) however even though the other 30 teams are down as computer controlled they accept any trade offered, Bret Hundley in a straight swap for Lemar Jackson. No disrespect to Bret but WTF! Lol. Is this something I am doing wrong??

In sandbox the AI trade offer logic doesn't apply... it's meant to let you do whatever you want to set up various scenarios.

Ah okay. Is there a way of having a local multiplayer or head to head on career mode? If not that would be an awesome addition...... for us anyway! :)

Not really, career mode is single player, and multiplayer has the commissioner execute trades.

I didn't know this either. Is there anything else that doesn't apply? I play sandbox for the commissioner and player and coach editing tools (mainly to change names if a team signs a fictional person in the first season and for the top draft targets) but play as one team only. I don't convert to career so I have those tools so just curious what the trade offs are as I understood that, in sandbox, teams on "CPU" manage themselves.

Career has more stuff locked down to be more of a challenge, so no trades, no player editing (you can import players to start the league or for draft classes), GM can get fired, no altering other team's, etc.
