Trying to learn this game. Starting pretty basic. Want my default offense and a 2nd package with my 2nd string running back and my blocking TE. If I select the 2nd package it is my starting RB every single time that runs the ball. I'm assuming packages are so I can control who is on the field? Am I missing a setting?

In formation settings, you set which formations use which packages on run/pass respectively.

Now I feel kind of dumb. I've been missing a huge part of the game. Thanks for the reply.

Actually this was huge.. the game makes sense to me now. I see how everything fits together.
