Bad Bug

If you run a play near your own goal line, and get a penalty, if that penalty yardage takes you beyond the goal line, it counts it as a safety, instead of half the distance to the goal! See example from game log below:

Rush by Marin, C. for 8 yds. Tackle by Hawkins, C..
Michigan Penalty on Lange, J.: Unnecessary Roughness.
The play results in a SAFETY!

The number of safeties is a problem in general. This game is SO close to being amazing to the people that get it, it is ridiculous.

Yep, there are probably other scenarios where this is causing safeties. Game has promise, but this is pretty bad.

It really is a shame that a game with so many bugs was actually released honestly. I would've rather it been delayed another month or however long so they could clean it up before releasing it. I keep seeing the same bugs as I saw in the first access version, and it's so disappointing these bugs are still in the game after this long :(

Feel free to report the bug again... we fixed dozens of issues during first access and dozens more in the last several weeks after release with patches. Some issues were features that were missing, others were bugs, but as far as I know the high priority issues have all been addressed (unless these were new features or enhancements we pushed to future versions due to amount of code)

The safety issue above I can take a look at.

I'm not seeing a "massive" amount of bugs? I've noticed a few ( like a play not description not matching the play art).. but nothing even close to suggesting the game wasn't ready for release.

Can’t really comment on how releasable the game currently is, as I stopped playing after simming my first game and seeing 4 safeties in the game, that kind of turned me off, and would seem like a critical bug for a football simulation.

I've had a bunch of issues with the drafting screen, the AI not choosing picks when the clock hits 0, switching between screens doesn't work half the time, and when I trade picks, they don't actually switch between the teams. I can trade away my 6th round pick in the same draft as many times as I want, I once managed to do it 4 times. I've made a previous post about this linked here: viewtopic.php?f=325&t=32848. It makes the game incredibly hard to enjoy for me, especially after some experience with OOTP, and even the browser game Football-GM is less buggy than this.

Ok thanks, I'll add them to the list to check out. (The countdown timer in the draft screen is just for aesthetics... it doesn't force picks on people when it hits 0)

I'm also going to assume that you're in Career mode, with no mods installed, and that you are on the latest version (.7) of the game.

yup, no mods, and I'm on the latest version as well.
