Praise for the new version

This forum seems to be filled with mostly bugs and user requests, and I've posted quite a few of them in the last few days. Just to not be all negative all the time I just wanted to let you guys know how much I'm enjoying this version of the game.

I think I'm in the minority of players in that I enjoy calling the plays in my football games - quick simming and just reading box scores doesn't do it for me - it leaves too much excitement/drama on the table.

I did try the demo and ended up purchasing last years version but I ended up stopping playing after a season or two. I just found the match day experience a little underwhelming. I couldn't get used to the playbook and there were too many things that seemed off - lots of safeties and tons of insane going for it on 4th down all the time. Didn't feel much like real football (which CAN work for me; I don't expect an exact copy of the NFL).

In this years version, the games seem much more "real". Having the game stats right on the main play screen is great. Not having to break away to another screen to call plays also helps a lot with immersion.

The bottom line though is are the games exciting and do I end up caring about my team? With 2021 I've jumped up out of my seat a ton of times to pump my fist in the air to cheer after a long gain or a crucial 1st down. And that's really my big acid test. When that happens it means I'm invested in the game.

Well done guys. Looking forward to enjoying this iteration and seeing where the game goes in future.
