What a game - and it wasn't determined until the game clock read 00:00! You always put the ball in the hands of your playmakers, and you win or lose with them. In this case it was Russell Wilson - one of a small handfull of 100 OVR skill position players. I was controlling Seattle against Atlanta, playing in Atlanta. It came down to Atlanta missing an XPA during the game.
Talk about a comeback, Wilson alone had 3 pick-6's during the game! He also had a 77-YD bootleg TD. That's not it. The final drive, Seattle down 31-37, 2:18 left, starting from their own 12, and all 3 T/O's left, Wilson completes 5/6 for 90 yds, with the final being a 27-YD TD pass with time expiring to tie, and the extra point to win, 38-37!
I am using the sandbox option, 2021 version. I once read somewhere that if the playing experience results in "fist pumping" as the gamer is immersed into the field of play - that is how success is measured. This game had everything - and more. The unexpected twists and turns, I didn't know if I was going to pull this sucker out!
One suggestion, which I have seen made already. The 2-minute "drill" at the end of the 2nd quarter and end of game, needs to be improved. While I did feel challenged in this game to make judicious use of my precious 3 timeouts, I had to manual options to run/pass out of bounds to stop the clock, spike the ball, hurry up the offense, etc. All these options would have added to the realism of how these particular time periods play out IRL.
Overall - this particular matchup was darn exciting!
