Why no onside kick?

Hi guys,

Had the following scenario:

1:21 1st and Goal OKL - 1 Rush by Frank Gore for 1 yds. TOUCHDOWN! (Scobee kick good) NWJ 35 - OKL 42
1:16 --- OKL - 25 Kickoff of 70 yards. Returned by Arrington, J. for 25 yards. First Down! NWJ 35 - OKL 42

Down a touchdown, late in the 4th with no timeouts and you kick it deep?

Depends on several factors... a certain amount of randomness, coach aggressiveness, kicker skills, etc.
