Coach hiring phase

I notice that my coaches are rated in stars and in the coach hiring phase they are given absolute values.
I understand the relative comparison with a star ~ 2 or 20 depending on the chosen scale.
It seems like I would know my coaches by absolute value and the possible new hires in "stars" and/or use the same scale to rate them.
thoughts?
