AI regarding signing injury prone stars

I've noticed that Donovan Mitchell who is a 4 star player with 4.5 star potential was not offered an RFA contract by anyone to his liking so he got the tender offer. Then in the next offseason I was able to snatch him up for the full MLE 2 year with player option.
I was wondering if the AI is actually programmed to steer away from players who are marked as Injury Prone?
On the flip side, is the AI also programmed to sometimes take a gamble on such players?

Secondly is there a success story where a player can shed their injury prone label and are there injuries that can lead to them increasing their injury prone setting.

Players do not shed their labels (which are randomly generated when you start a league) - I'm wondering what exactly were the circumstances here though. Was he injured and taking the MLE + option was like a contract he was taking to prove he was ok? Did he have a bad relationship with his prior team causing him not to take a long term offer there?
