I NEED HELP!!!!!

I would like to know if I can save my database I made with all new updates photos and rosters and use it to play the game with any team I like. Because every time I start a new game it goes back to the old original update and than I have to do it all again how can I save my database I have updated my self with everything than everything single time I wanna play with a different team download it and play with any team I like. I tried to export the database I made and start a new career game and when I click import database it will not work and I dunno why can anyone help?
