Are receiving RB not a thing?

Are receiving RB not a thing?

Postby KingNeb » Tue Feb 09, 2021 10:57 am

Playing as Northwestern with a pretty solid QB & the running back role on the gameplanning tab is set to "catching" but all of the RBs on my team total 10 catches through 9 games this season.

Is there something I need to edit/change to get my RBs the ball more? My OC runs a west coast offense & my HC is pro style but I haven't messed with the formations/custom playbook tabs of strategy yet.

Thanks!

Would love to know more about this as well. I'm having the same issue in the pro game in an online league where I'm trying to feature my RB in the passing game and I just can't seem to get him enough targets, let alone catches, to make it effective.

Need good hands, RB Role = Catching, PassTo Pref = Running Backs

And to be honest there is code in there that targets players more if they're beyond the first down marker, so putting RB's out wide in some depth charts may help target them more. Otherwise the backs tend to stay close to the QB and will get de-prioritized unless you pick plays that specifically up their target pct.
