Hey, I've been tweaking the name generation database to be more realistic and diverse for my own games and I have it in a place I'm pretty happy with so I thought I'd share. The updated file is at https://mega.nz/file/q0sF2AZa#HFzOHKs1E ... d2Q9QNeupo

To install, go to your DDSCB folder, go into the "App" subfolder and then the "Data" subfolder, and you should see a file named "default.db". Rename that file to "default_backup" (or whatever) and then copy the default.db file you downloaded into the same folder.

This mod is compatible with the Real World mod and should be compatible with pretty much any other mod that doesn't change the random name generation. After you install, recruiting classes in all your games should use the new improved name generation.

*More than twice as many possible last names, up to the maximum number of different last names the DDSCB engine can handle

*Frequencies of first and last names tweaked to keep rare names from appearing too frequently (no more massive Singletary family)
*Frequency of common names rebalanced to promote diversity and realism
*No more recruits named "Gelnn"!

So i'm under the impression it will be compatible with associations already on the go? If it only relates to recruit generation?

Yeah, just slot it in, restart the game, and the next year's recruiting class will use the modded name generation.

For me it's C:/Wolverine Studios/DDSCB2021, but it will depend on where you installed it. You can go into windows explorer and search for DDSCB2021, that might find it for you.

Yeah looks like it needs rehosted, as I can't download it either.

I just downloaded it with no problems.
