Is Height a Factor?

Is height factored into how well a player plays? Or is height already factored into his ratings?

All else being equal, will a 7'2" center outperform a 6'9" center?

I think height has to be a factor but I have no idea how big a factor. I don't pay any attention to it when I'm recruiting but I've often thought I probably should.

I believe height can factor in to a limited degree on defensive assignments and also ability to get off a clear shot.

Height is not affected by scouting error, while the ratings are. I trust a ruler telling me a guy is 7 foot more than my scouts telling me he's a great rebounder.

Well I guess it depends on whether he can jump more than 2 inches up or knows how to get position.

This is probably a really dumb question, but what impacts scouting error? Is it your assistant coach's scouting rating? Or is there just randomized error?
