General Questions

Postby rmoons24 » Mon Mar 08, 2021 6:12 pm

Hey all, I am extremely interested in the game here but just cant pull the trigger. I last had the 2019 version and something about it just didn't do it for me.

- Are one and dones prevelant in the version?
- Does the new menu screen make things generally quicker and less clunky?
- Any key differences with the "in game" simulation?
- What is your favorite part of the game?

Thank you for any insight you offer.

Here's a thread from Early Access that outlines things people like: viewtopic.php?f=334&t=33721

The menu feels quicker.

In game moved some stuff around & seems improved.

Enjoying the immersion factor & the new NET breakdowns including quad 1-4 records. Also the selection show & tournament recaps are amazing.

On my 5th season & it's definitely worth buying. Also there's a 1 week demo up but you can't use the realworld mod on it. DL the demo to get a taste of what it's about & if it makes sense buy it.

Good luck!

Differences from CB19 to CB21? Lots!

Some that I like:

Many new modes when creating a new association.
Easy ability to incorporate real world mod (and mod has numerous ways to use it)
Variety of difficulty levels for recruiting, injuries, and job pressure
Can prevent or allow underclassmen declaring either when creating a new association and can change this back and forth whenever you want as your association progresses
Ability to skip to various points in the summer and fall allowing AI to do it if you don't want to do recruiting duties yourself
Major improvements to look of the various screens and ease of movement thru them
Big changes within recruiting...improved recruit screen with hot keys and texting as well as calling to gain info on recruits
NET instead of RPI
New Insights pages for deeper analysis of teams
Detailed and easy review of both player and team stats
Comprehensive Almanac
Coaching Tree so you can easily see how coaches have moved from team to team
Easy to use Depth Chart
Lots of charts for various aspects
Great new schedule screen with summary info on games played
Player and Coach skills progression screens
Team Prestige History Screen
Extremely easy changing from team to team to review thier in
When playing out games, coach options viewable and changeable from the court screen
New & improved substitutions screen when playing out games
Easy editing of players and coaches on Commissioner screen
Ability to create and play your own 16, 32 and 64 team tournaments
Ability to import CB20 associations into CB21

There are many more changes, additions, and improvements...these were just some that popped into my find quickly.

But I agree with rmoods...since you're unsure whether you want the game or not, give the demo a quick try to at least see some of the screens and capabilities. Then the decision to buy is up to you.

I was pretty much like you. Last version I had was 2018 and although I liked the concept, the game just didn't really keep my interest long enough to go through a season at most. I did decide to give it another shot with this version and I don't regret it. I'm not sure if it's the improvements to the game or some other reason but this time I am truly into it and enjoying all aspects. Might not work out the same way for you of course but I'm just sharing my experience.

I can tell you I have increased the number of players who leave school early in this version and the new in game menu and UI is light years better than what the 2019 version had. Its not even like playing the same game.

Best advice is try the free demo and see it for yourself!

The UI changes and the ability to do all the recruiting from the player cards alone represent a quantum leap in the playability of a game that was already great to play. When you add in all the other changes, many that I know I haven't even discovered yet, make this a no-brainer must buy, IMO.

FYI I am new to this specific series

1. I haven't seen it much
2. very quick
3. First WS game but I feel that in game i can make changes that are impactful to the outcome good and bad
4. In Game Recruiting is fun and I feel it is the most popular but knowing my players and how they act in 2d simulation is a *chef kiss* lovely

I can't check this to provide accurate guidance since I already have the game installed on my computer, but I THINK that you can just blow by that part and the demo will run. Maybe someone else can either confirm this or provide you with how to proceed otherwise.

Click the TRY button in the lower left corner and it will generate a demo key for you.
