Conference Movement?

How does the game calculate conference movement?

Is it all based on results? So if a team like Illinois State dominates it's conference and starts to gain prestige, will it be invited to the Big 10? Or will unrealistic movement happen randomly.

It is all results based so in your example Illinois State would not only have to dominate its conference and gain significant prestige someone in the Big Ten would have to fall and be bad for a while to the point where they would then get swapped out with Illinois State
