No, my saves (and I have a long-running association so lots of data) take about 15-20 seconds.

What are the specs for your computer?

Ah, that's what I was worried about ... something local
-- I have reasonably good gaming rig, can play almost anything
-- And my main drive is an SSD, so very fast writes
-- (and no interesting background load or anything)
-- one other note: loading the league is essentially instantaneous

I've isolated the probable "cause"
-- I run malwarebytes
-- With ransomware protection enabled, I get the very long save times
-- With ransomware protection disabled, I get 10-15 seconds

So I have a workaround, although I don't love it
-- use the malwarebytes "allow list"
-- add the DDSCB saves folder to the allow list
-- set "exclude from detection as ransomware only"
