http://moneyleague.epizy.com/FinalRun.bin

I get this error when I try to even load the local game now. I changed the .bak to .bin and it didn't work at all.

no its more likely that:
1) your antivirus interfered when the game was saved
2) your firewall or interuptions in your internet connection disrupted the upload

At this point i thik the only solution is to start over.

1) take a screenshot of you ftp settings so you remember how they were set
2) start new online league
3) do the FTP settings and set up your friends' teams with passwords
4) SAVE THE GAME
5) publish

Nope. Still same error. I followed the instructions exactly. I think the problem has to be the webroot vs the FTP directory. That couldn't cause the problem?

dont think so - everything gets on the server fine ( check http://moneyleague.epizy.com/Index.html ) including the bin file (you can download it).

But the bin file is only 3.9 mb, which seems a bit small and cant be unpacked. Maybe check your league folder on your harddrive .../mydocuments/wolverine/ddspf22/leagues/finalrun and see how many MB the bin is there.

In any case there are a few possibilities
1) try adding and exception to the game in your antivirus, since that may screw things up if it tries to realtime scan when the save is written to the disk (also to the mydocuments folder, and maybe try running the game as admin)
2) try shutting down your firewall and/or VPN when uploading
3) check your FTP host and see if there are limits to filesizes you can upload

(of if you tried to laod the game from the server after saving - then your local bin will have be overwritten and will be the same size of course - do the renaming of .bac again to get the original bin file back)

It seems like 10 Mb is my max files size. Is that big enough? I was using free ones trying to learn this. Do you recommend any low cost/free platforms that you know this works properly with?

Sometimes for larger files ftp can just error out due to network issues or web host issues. Re-publishing should resolve it.

Oh, and just FYI, the game downloads the file (over http actually... http download, ftp upload) and then loads the file from local just like a local league.

So my ultimate issue would be it is downloading the file from the FTP but it won't load it afterwards. It must be corrupted?
