Is this realistic like OOTP Baseball? Can you call individual plays?

It's hard to say to compare a football game with a baseball game. Yes you can call your own plays. The stats are pretty realistic for the modern game. I am pretty new to the game so take it for what its worth but I haven't seen any page where you can set the engine for different stats eras though like in OOTP but maybe that is done a different way.

IMO its the best available football simulator hands down. Football is a very complicated game to sim, and while it's not perfect this game does a really good job.

Many people in the multiplayer community also play OOTP. I used to play OOTP myself and I'm sure if you like that, and enjoy Football, you will like this game.
