Hi, I was wondering what the coach offense/coach defense ratings for coaches do exactly? How do they affect play calling exactly?

Pretty much every rating in the game is some sort of modifier. Either it gives you a buff in related scenarios, or it gives you a nerf depending on randomness. For coach ratings coaching offense helps buff offensive rolls a bit, defensive coaching helps with defensive rolls. Motivating helps with morale which improves player rolls. Youngsters, development, etc. provide buffs in training rolls. And so on...

Thanks for the response Brooks! So on defense and offensive rolls, does the game take into account all of the coaches ratings?

Example: On an offensive play - Does the game take into account the coach offense rating for the head coach, offensive coordinator, and defensive coordinator? Or does it take into account only the head coach and offensive coordinators ratings?

Not all ratings are used in all scenarios. And the game uses ratings differently... sometimes it's based on offense or defense, sometimes it's offense and head coach, sometimes it's defense and head coach, and sometimes it's just tied to your game plan/play caller assignment. It just depends on the scenario we're checking.
