Currently creating a Coaching mod and i'm wondering how the AI utilised their coaches from a playcalling/strategy standpoint? Who's offensive focus/preferences are used during games, the head coach or off. coordinator?

Uses who you have set as playcaller. For more other checks in the engine it uses HC + OC for offense and HC + DC for defense.

What about if I set the playbooks and turns into "Custom"? Does it take in consideration HC + Coordinators Preferences to give Bonus or Decrease to the type of call?

I.e. I have a HC and a DC who both prefer playing Zone, but I set my custom playbook with tones of M2M plays, will they be less effective? Or because is set to "Custom", the Coaches likeness will be ignored?

Depends on the number... in some cases the coaches ratings and prefs do affect on field action... in other cases it only triggers for Ai decisions such as coach generated playbooks, etc.

So in custom playbooks (not custom plays, custom playbooks with plays taken from in game plays) they do affect on field outcomes then?
