Skill rating

Skill rating

Postby Dom » Mon Jun 20, 2022 4:00 am

Hi,

I got a question on the skill rating and how important it is in comparison to other ratings.

For example QB's, let's asume the following:

QB A has 85 arm, 85 accuracy, 75 speed, 95 intelligence but only 80 in QB skill.

QB B has 80 arm, 80 accuracy, 70 speed, 90 intelligence but 100 in QB skill.

Who would be the better player and why?
And how does the ovr rating play a role in all that? Is ovr rating more important than specific ratings?

Thanks in advance,
Dom

Player A... the cumulative effect of those ratings will be better than the additional benefits of 80->100 skill. 80 skill is still pretty high... means they know the position pretty well. If the skill was more like 40-60 range it may be a harder choice.

OVR is just a composite view of many aspects of a player, it doesn't affect player performance at all.

Thanks!

Does ovr count in position? Like does a good arm rating help the ovr of a QB more than the one of a K or P?

yes the overall calculation is highly position specific.

(also note: In the settings you can actually devise your own overall calculations as well.)
