Move a team from on division to another

I have created a 28 team league. In the league it shows Tampa Bay in National - Central. I want to move the team to American - West. I figured out how I could write an app to swap the players between teams using export/import players and then rename the teams. I also found the export database (export.mdb) and can modify the team table but not sure if there is a way to import these changes.

The question... Is there a way I can easily move a team and roster to another division/conference?

You either need to update your teams.xml file and create a custom league with the teams in your desired spot. Or you wait for the offseason and use the options screen to change the league format and move teams around at that point. There isn't an export/import function for team generation.
