I'll ask Gary about the division structure and the way it's coded and see what he thinks about the possibility of this as a feature in PB23. I also love playing as an expansion team (Sonics 2.0, anyone?), so I don't think you're alone in wanting to make the most of the expansion options.

Late coming back to this thread but just wanted to say thanks for talking to Gary about it. As someone who's not a big NBA fan but loves expansion/custom teams, this is extremely needed for 23 to make it worth the purchase for me. That's what I love about OOTP, all the customization.
