Unpopulated screens - game unplayable

Unpopulated screens - game unplayable

Postby frankinho » Mon Feb 28, 2022 9:22 pm

Game is basically unplayable for me, most of the screens are unpopulated and missing information and data and/or have some errors in it. I have a new computer with Windows11, i don't know if these erros indicate some missing software or something?

I would try reinstalling and rebooting after because something definitely is not correct there

I uninstalled, reboted and reinstalled to default folder but getting the same issues. Basically most screens are empty e.g. roster but get populated if ii click roster view and select view rating or bio. When i advance to "buy reports" the selections are greyed out and cannot proceed, i can fix it if i click to a different screen and click advance again and then the reports selection buttons are then enabled. Then same issue persists every time i advance and click one of the sections e.g. roster it has missing info and have to activate by selecting view ratings. :(

This is absolutely not normal. There is something preventing the code from firing properly initially so can you try a couple of things for me?

1. Make sure you have .NET 4.8 at least installed
2. Either turn off firewall/AV or whitelist CB22 with them
3. Right click the exe and try run as admin to start the game

I've checked off all 3 steps but didnt help, same issues persist
Its seems its not isolated to CB22 though, having the same problem with PB22 after installing it - both games are non-steam installs. CF22 doesnt have the same problem though but thats a steam install, i dont know if that has anything to do with it?

Strange. I've had no problems with the game displaying and working fine and I'm using Windows 11 also.

Ok well lets try two other angles.

When the Steam version installs it should make sure that the latest Visual C++ redistributable installs - the installer here should do that as well but you can check https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/wi ... w=msvc-170 to see if you have the 2019 version installed.

You can also try deleting the AU folder for the game.

Look on your computer for the following path. C:\Users\[whatever your username is]\AppData\Local\AlchemiumUnlimited

In that folder you will find a folder for the game. Delete that CB2022 folder. Then reboot the computer and try playing the game again.

Tried reinstalling VC+ and deleting the folder you mentioned but unfortunately still same issue. Tried also installing the game to a different drive other than C: also didnt help. Installed CB21 on steam and that works fine. Really strange, never had this sort of issue with WS games before. Anything else i could try? :(

I am having this same issue. Checked everything already listed but still getting unpopulated screens. Sometimes they will initially appear like the depth chart screen but if I click off and back to it is will not populate nor will it ever again.
