I wish there was a way to pick when the dynasty started. Like when you first takeover a program it’s right after the transfer portal. I wish you could take over a team at the very start of the off season like in real life. Just so when you start a career you can have a little more say in who your team will have.

One option: Create the association, but don't take a job... then skip summer and sim the season...then when you get to the head coach job hiring stage, get hired and go on from there...then the transfer sessions will be occurring after the next season starts in May. (Skipping summer takes less than 10 minutes to run and simming an entire season takes less than a half hour to run so its pretty quick to get thru that first season during when you won't have a job.)

If you want to choose from all colleges when you get to the job hiring stage (rather than from just the ones that come open toward the end of a season), create the association as a SANDBOX mode one instead of a CHALLENGE mode association. Then all jobs will be available to choose from.
