SUGGESTIONS FOR DDSCB2023

I've been collecting suggestions (at least when I notice them) so they won't get lost and can be provided to Gary when he gets ready to begin developing CB2023 next winter.

But, as indicated, when they come in helter-skelter in individual threads, I'm likely to miss some. Therefore, I've started this thread to encourage your entering suggestions in one place. I'll then format them into something that is easy for Gary to review when the time comes.

So...fire away!

1. Stop play for an injury, when playing a game out.
2. Fix the difficulty with double teaming when playing a game out. It unclicks frequently, and seemingly randomly, even when there has been no substitution for either team.

More to come!

1. Notes for recruits: add notes about intangibles, don't have notes repeat again until after all the possible answers have been given.

2. More two or one star players who are specialist(have one of the traits) but are below average otherwise, in that same vein add some "basketball savants" players with over "7" in IQ and discipline.

3. Add floaters, step-backs, lob passes for dunks, and distance of the 3pt shot to the play by play text.

4. This is probably controversial as traditionalists may be against it, but the pick and roll/pop really needs to be one of the offenses in the game, it is used as the majority "set" by a large percentage of teams now.

I think the ability to have transfers from the D2 level would be a nice addition, also to have players who are academically ineligible from a recruiting standpoint, have them be able to be signed the next year or re recruited in a sense.

The option to turn on job pressure in a multiplayer league, as well as potentially setting up home-and-homes with similar prestige schools which can't be changed the following season once the first game is set would both be pretty cool, as would seeing recruits in FIBA-U17 play, implemented the same way as recruiting camps. Would be nice to get a bit better look at international recruits, and how they compare to top domestic prospects.

1. Quick Keys for Transfer Portal
2. Failed SATs as Action Email
3. Player/s declaring for the Draft as Action Email
4. Add shooting percentages for Recruits? (Sometimes a recruit's Out Rating is A+ but they suck at threes)

I've made this suggestion in the past but I'll add it again. Ability to add high school juniors to the call list.

The goal would be to create a way for schools (especially those with small budgets) to build up recruit interest. Maybe it could be limited to in-state juniors, just so it doesn't have to generate thousands of names.

I have an idea to systematically change the practice plan.

Practices could be 120 minutes and a coach could have minute by minute control

Practices divided into three parts
1. warm-up/conditioning - to improve athleticism
2. skill drills like block/rebound, pass/steal, free throws, discipline/draw fouls, and shooting/shot defense - to improve skills
3. the traditional practice running sets - to learn the team systems. Also add breaking the full court presses.

I would also like to see passing added to the shoot/drive pie chart and add pass more as an option when calling players about playing style.

I wish you could call a player and tell them that they will not start this year but will start next year after the starter graduates. Maybe at a certain point before the season starts a head coach could meet with all the players and tell them their expected role for this season and next season.
I would like more call interactions and options in general. The praise player option is great but most calling interactions still feel passive aggressive and combative.
