pressing

My roster is short and unremarkable this season, so I've decided to press aggressively. The game says the high-risk/high-reward press is 1-2-1-1. My strategy is to implement it when the other team's D gets a little tired, or the starting guards are sitting. I'll put in a line-up of athletic high-steal players. Do you think my tactics are reasonable? Anything I'm not thinking about?

Just remember that a press will tire your players more quickly. I press reasonably often but try not to overdue it.

The main reason I decided to implement the press this season is that there isn't much difference in quality between my starters and my second unit.

If you do this, I'd be interested whether the "reward" (steals and turnovers) outweighed the "risk" (easy baskets by the opponent and fouls against the pressing team). I doubt there woiuld be more fouls since there very rarely seem to be fouls in the backcourt in DDSCB. Don't know how this could be really checked, but also would be interesting to see which team tired more quickly.

well, the season is over and it didn't turn out to be much of a cheat code :[
It would be interesting to hear if anyone had success going heavy press in one of the leagues.
