Suggestion: 2 Way players

Suggestion: 2 Way players

It would be cool to see more two-way players that are recruitable. Currently, you have players with skills set at other positions (which also could be more frequent), but I have never seen anyone with skills on both sides of the ball. For example, QB/WR/TE, WR/CB, OT/DT, LB/TE, RB/LB, FB/LB, etc...

I’m talking about players that already have the skills at other positions, not training them into the position from a complete slate.

Ahh, I see. I can certainly add a few of them in, but it's a bit hard to find what kind of percentages to use. If there are 85 kids per team and 130 teams that 11,000 kids. How many would be reasonable? 1 per team? 50 total? I can't imagine there are many more than that.

Brooks, maybe you could use the ATHlete designation? On 247 rankings this year, there are 174 recruits listed as ATHletes.

Good point, I don’t have the data but the recruit list posted above could be a good reference point.

Also keep in mind that most of these kids that were good enough to get recruited by D1 teams usually played on both sides of the ball in high school as they were the best players on the team. Of course majority weren’t equally as great on both sides of the ball otherwise they would probably would be listed as ATH
