LB Sills

Any thought of separating LB skills into ILB and OLB skills?

An ILB is not necessarily a good fit at OLB and vice versa.

One of my pet peeves is when the AI moves a S or DE to LB and makes them an ILB or when the depth chart list the same player as the backup at every LB position.

The AI is pretty basic in this regard, but people who want to dial in their lineups have the ability to do so based on the existing ratings we have. There are no plans to incorporate a new level of skills, nor are we looking to expand positions.

Since there is not plan to expand, the next question is does a player rating matter in regards of if he’s playing ILB or OLB? Of course the user can make these adjustments but if the AI isn’t making these necessary improvements, this could be an advantage for the human.

As long as they are playing LB the LB skill will be used... no difference whether they're inside, outside, strong, weak, middle, etc.

Player attributes will definitely affect other aspects of the position... speedy LB that may be blitzing or dropping into coverage, or higher tackling ratings for MLB that are in run support, etc. Humans will definitely have the advantage since they can better tailor the combination of depth chart, formation usage, and play calls. The AI deals more in generalities... it's effective but not optimized.
