Every week after I set the visits and have my scholarships set and advance to the next week, the AI will take scholarships from my targeted recruits and give them to much lower rated in state players, players that I am not recruiting. It’s frustrating. Near worth deleting the game.
Any ideas how to correct this? I have tried to take scholarships away from players after erroneously being awarded, remove them from recruit list, but nothing works.

your recruiting is set to auto

There is a setting at the top to the right on the recruiting dashboard, where you can switch it to manual.

No sir, I have it set to manual. All other actions stay as I set them, just 6 to 8 scholarships each week are adjusted. I have had it set to manual from the beginning.

Then the best guess is you are playing sandbox and the team on CPU control.

I am playing sandbox. How do I rectify that?

You can switch it off CPU either in Team Info (remember to click the save button on that screen) or in the league settings.

On the Team Info screen, it shows it is CPU but it doesnt allow me to change it. League settings, I dont see anything that mentions CPU control..This is getting frustrating. I want to fix it.

Ok, the good news is we diagnosed your issue with recruiting

Weird that you cant change it in team info, I just created a sandbox game and cannot replicate the issue. Is the toggle disabled, (i.e. you cant even click it), or does it not save when you change it ? (remember to click the save button on that screen of course)

Anyhow, you are right about the league settings, the overview is actually in the league office. Click the little box icon (leftmost on the top bar) and then click the "Configure teams" that appears right below it. Then you get an overview of all teams and can switch each of them on/off CPU at your leasure. (also remember to click the save button on that screen of course)

That worked! The configure teams page was the solution. I am a amazed that hasn’t been a problem before.
