Is there a reason as to why we only have access to 3 first round picks at a time and not more ? and why we are allowed to trade all our 1st round picks without restrictions ?

Well the first is for simplicity sake in not overwhelming the AI (same reason only 5 picks/players per team per trade) - I am very proud of the trade AI in the game and its a challenge to make the AI look at what you are offering and understand if its a fair deal or if you are trying to rip it off.

The second should not be the case if you have trading restrictions turned on - you should not be able to trade a 1st round pick if you do not have one in the prior or following year (Stepien rule)
