Divisions after expansion

Good evening. I haven't played the pro game since 2021 version. I downloaded the demo for 2023 tonight and it appears you can finally edit divisions after realignment. However, the demo timed out before I could get to the June 10th date to test it out. And since the game starts you on October 4th and you can only expand in June. So I have a few questions I hope someone can answer.

1) How big can the league get? Is 32 teams the max?

2) The realignment has to be 1 for 1 correct? So if you expand to 32 teams, instead of 8 divisions of 4, you are stuck with the default 6 divisions so will be two divisions of 5 and one division of 6 in each conference.
