Team Prestige

The wild swings are taking the fun out of the game .... at a Blue Blood school took over when the team had a prestige of 80 .. didn't make the tourney the first year .... in the 10 years since I haven't missed an elite 8, with 3 final visits and 7 trips to the final four .... my team prestige is sitting in the 50's now .... unrealistic and just plain wrong ....

Are you cutting players before the transfer portal opens? That will tank your prestige quickly.

nope ... I only cut walkons right before the start of the season but thanks I didn't know that ...


are there other things that will tank your prestige that I am unaware of?

here is what I am dealing with .... went to the finals again last season .... season review said my prestige raised from 58 to 60 ... it is now October before the start of the next season and if I hit school info my prestige is down to 47 ... I didn't cut anyone before transfers so what could I have done in the 4 months to drop my prestige by 13 points ... can pulling scholarship offers from guys who aren't going to commit cause it to drop? That is the only thing I can think of

I've never seen this and I always cut my walk ons, which has no effect. The only thing that should drop TP during that time frame is cutting scholarship players (You can do that with only a 0-2 point penalty per cut after the Transfer period ends.). I'd send the files in.

FWIW it has happened at every school I have been at .... was at Gonzaga and same story as IU ... 88 prestige when I took over .... nothing but Elite 8's with one actual title and prestige was 52 when I left
