I'm starting out at a new school in my association. I've only noticed this issue at this school. Normally when doing the transfer portal, if after the 1st week I haven't made the top 5 of a players list, I will not get them. If I visit and offer them a scholarship, if they are going to take it they take it during the 2nd week. This time around, I'm their top school, I have 5 scholarships to offer and after 5 weeks of offering and being their top school they chose to go somewhere else. Kind of frustrating. Not sure what's going on. Anyone else dealing with this? I had 2 top 100 players who had me as their top choice and they ended up going elsewhere after 5 weeks.
