Redhshirts?

Redhshirts?

@Brooks, redshirts are handled at the end of the season now, instead of the beginning?
I am just curious about the rationale behind this. Does College Football do it that way?
It makes redshirting a little confusing because the freshman we just recruited is NOT a part of the redshirting process now.
Or is there a post-season AND pre-season redshirt stage now?
Post Season = Any freshman who did not play much during the season?
Pre Season = Any incoming Freshman we want to redshirt?

Just confused by the process now. Thank you for any clarification.

Yes, this was changed in CF23 a while back. Coaches don't redshirt at the beginning of the season, they wait until the end in case they need to play a player. You can redshirt at any point during the season if you want, but there is still a specific stage for it at the end where any player who hasn't been in 4 games can still be redshirted.
