Playing as Iowa. 2nd season-was pretty easy to get #1 recruiting class and a preseason #4 ranking. After a few weeks, I changed to hard mode. Not sure what parts of the game would be affected but was really looking for a bump in recruiting difficulty. Recruiting did seem to settle in to a more realistic level but not sure what happened to current roster. Team did a 180 and began being blown out by far inferior teams. I play games by setting the strategies, depth charts, play calling and let the game sim so my involvement in the game's outcomes didn't really change.

My assumption is that "hard mode" strongly affects both recruiting and on field gameplay. Would be very helpful to have separate recruiting and gameplay difficulty settings instead of one overall difficulty.

I'm not seeing where there is a separate setting for recruiting difficulty. I've been battling pneumonia the last week and am pretty tired. May be looking right at it. If you would point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.

I could be wrong, but PG usually posts about "College Basketball" game, I am thinking he might have accidentally posted in this College Football forum, thinking the College Basketball game was being discussed which does have recruiting difficulty.

No worries. Thanks for the help. I think I'll go back to normal mode and adjust the number of recruiting actions are available. Maybe that will help.

Hey Brooks...following up on this, would it be possible to separate difficulty for gameplay (coaching) and recruiting? I imagine there are quite a few people out there that might not be "expert" football coaches but might appreciate an additional recruiting challenge. Thanks

should be doable, will keep it in mind for the next version (no promises though)
