Custom OVR

Not sure if this has been asked before and I think custom OVR only applies to what I see but wanted to clarify.

1) Does using custom OVR ratings affect AI controlled teams? Depth chart, who plays etc

2) and, does it have any bearing on the outcome of games beyond me using it to set my depth chart and rotations?

It's a cosmetic/sorting thing only so shouldn't have any effect on either AI teams or games.
