I just changed my head coach and offensive coordinator, and the depth chart has not changed. I don't understand why the game consistently places lower graded players in the starting position. The game placed a guard graded 57 over another guard graded 74. I signed a QB graded 82 and the game placed him behind players graded 72 and 74. There is something wrong with the game and the depth chart should change when you change coaches especially when the game is placing lower rated players at the top of the depth chart.

I've noticed in the football games that the overall doesn't translate exactly the same as you'd expect in say Madden. In Madden a 82-rated player will always be better than a 72 or 74 in all areas. In this game, it seems to pay attention to certain key ratings as to who's the better player. Now what ratings it pays attention to to determine that, I don't know.

Make sure you're on the latest version of the game. One of the patches fixed the issue with the coach depth charts prioritizing age over skills.

I am still seeing this on version 8.0. Is there a newer versions, 8.0 is the posted one. Many far superior older 29 to low 30's getting benched for far less younger players in ratings and skill.

Hmm, that fix should have been in build 8.0.0 10152023... basically the last update prior to official release. If you're on an earlier build I would upgrade. (They're both 8.0.0, but the build should appear as 10152023 in the latest)

However, I did look into it closer and I think the Age effect on starting lineup is still too strong so I'm tweaking it for a future patch.
