2025 Improvement: Expanded Gameplan templates

2025 Improvement: Expanded Gameplan templates

Currently the saved game plans templates only effect the settings on the game planning screen. There aren't really a ton of options on this page, so I rarely make presets because I may change 1 or 2 things week to week. To make this more useful, I think that the game plan templates should include the play calling and formations settings, which are far more tedious to change week to week. In doing this, at the beginning of the season I could create different play calling strategies using different playbooks and tie them to the game plan settings, so mid season all I have to do is change the game plan template to change my entire strategy. I also think if this were the case it would be useful to have different template game plan selector presets for offense and defense. So I could for instance quickly change between a long pass focused offense and run stopping focused defense one week to short pass focused offense and blitz heavy defense the next week, with updated play calling, game planning and formations while only having to change 2 settings.

Features could also be built onto this feature, such as the ability to change game plans if certain conditions are met during a game. Consider your opponent is blitzing way more than you anticipated and you're getting sacked left and right because didn't anticipate them to blitz so much. Maybe the player could set a condition in the overall game planning screen saying "if I get sacked more than 3 times, switch to gameplan 2". It would add more dynamic and fluid game planning rather than just setting static options that are run through the entire game. This could potentially be tied back to coach ratings for "flexibility" where a higher flexibility rating for coaches allows you to either access more "if" conditionals or set more rules.

Great ideas, Garrett!
* I'm not sure if this was included in your request, but can we save playcalling profiles the same way that we save game plans now? Right now the dropdown for offense (playbook and run/pass weight page) just says "Head Coach" or "Custom." I don't change playbooks much but my settings can change dramatically based on opponent and it would be nice to be able to switch back and forth.
* Also, could we have a button that says "Set all situations to this playbook" instead of going one by one.
* Also also, we have the AI override (hopefully in pro version) but it would be nice to add to the situations in the play calling screen so it's not just down and short/medium/long. Could you add entries for "End of Half" because often a team will try to score at the end of first half even if they're ahead. So maybe take the "run more / pass more, only pass", etc. replace those with playbook dropdowns like "behind late in game" , "ahead late in game", "two minutes left in half"
