Box Score Suggestion

If this is already possible, please forgive me as I haven't figured out a way to do it yet. When looking at the box score it'd be great to be able to see stats and score by quarter. For example clicking on 1st quarter would show you the score and then the box score stats.

As someone who sims in the pro game. I let the AI be the coach and I just do GM duties. I'd love to see exactly how the game unfolded. For example if my team went into the halftime with a 20 point lead. I'd like to be able to see why. Was one player on fire? Or did the team as a whole shoot lights out? And then lets say my team only ends up winning by two. I'd like to be able to see what happened to allow the other team to come back. I realize we can see the score per quarter but did my red hot shooting team come out in the second half and shoot 20-30% from the field or did they start trying to go for nothing but threes, etc.

As it is now, unless I'm just missing it, you just have the final score and tally when looking at the final box score. The only way around that as of now is to watch the game unfold and pause it at the end of each quarter.

Another suggestion would be adding theming like the football games have. Or a built in light theme would be great. The dark theme isn't as bad with basketball compared to the football but still prefer a light theme option or less dark theme.

EDIT: another suggestion outside of that would be to allow us to expand in year one, instead of having to sim the first full season.

Well stats are not kept on a per quarter basis (otherwise that would really expand the amount of data stored) but what you can do is go to the Options screen and turn on the option to generate game logs. Then after you sim and go to look at the boxscore at the top in the middle of the screen you will see a View Game Log link underlined and if you click it that will open up a browser window which will give you the entire pbp for the game so you can investigate in detail what happened, what kind of things were going on on the floor, who had been subbed in at that time etc...things you wouldn't know just from looking at stats so that should give you exactly what you are looking for and more.

Expansion can only be done in the game on a specific date because it impacts everything else that happens that summer - the expansion draft, the college draft, free agency...so since all of those things have already taken place the game can't run an expansion draft at the start of a season which is where new leagues pickup. I'm not sure what you mean by the theming of the football games but the interfaces are exactly the same for both games and the dark skin is hardcoded. I would have to recode every screen to allow for a light skin - and that may be an option for future versions but it would take quite a bit of time so it's not something I can do with this one.

Gotcha. Will have to try that out then. Another idea would be give us a option to check to automatically pause at half/quarter breaks instead of just "all stoppages". That way we could still load into the game and then just fast forward to end of each quarter. That still allows those of us who prefer a pure gm experience in the pro games to see what goes on each quarter without having to take the time to watch it all play out in standard time.

I know in the football games you can put a customtheme.css in the folder that overrides some of the colors. Last time I check, I think it was PB22, that option wasn't avaialable for either of the basketball games and was just for football. A couple suggestions to make it a bit more aesthetically pleasing would be to move the OVR text up just a tad. Kinda like up completely in the circle, so the circle isn't going through it.



Another suggestion would be to put the press conference questions above the answers, instead of below.

Again both those are small little things that are more of a wishlist and don't affect the game at all.
