Great update!-Can recreate 90sbasketball in the modern era

I haven't played the game in awhile. Maybe the last version I played was 2020? I am not sure. I drifted from the game because my impression (right or wrong) was the players and strategies were becoming a bit too homogenized.

On a lark, to avoid grad school work actually, I decided to download the demo and all I can say is WOW!

Separating out the three point shot rating is a game changer. It isn't easy, but I can construct an old school bruising 90s NBA team that nobody in their right mind would want to watch in real life. A mix between Mike Fratello, Lenny Wilkins and Chuck Daly.

I started with a league-wide draft and looked for players who had no 3 point shooting ability, but were strong in other areas, especially defense, passing and inside shooting. It wasn't easy! I slowed down the pace and played a post style offense.

As of now, I am 25-18 and taking a league low 15 three point attempts. It is a joy to see the contrast in styles. An old school team that might shoot just ten threes in a game versus a new school team that will hoist up 40 of them.

I don't know if it is possible to win with this style and to maintain it, but I am so happy that it seems possible!

I will be purchasing this once the demo period is over. I have some suggestions that I will make in another thread, but just wanted to say kudos on making 2024 a top-notch fun version to play that really has a true sandbox feel to it.
