When the game gets to the main menu and directs you to automatically update the game it is downloading 12.0.11 not 12.0.12.

Downloading the old way works fine but its a few more steps.

I can confirm.

I see that the old rather than the new version # is showing up in installation window...so this needs to be fixed. But it really is intalling the new version (the auto update is workng fine) and you can verify this by checking the lower right corner of the Main Menu screen...it will show 12.0.12 for this update.

That wasn't the case for me, I still had 12.0.11 after i updated

The install process went all the way through after the auto-download finished?

The auto update was working throughout the beta testing period and did again now in FirstAccess for 12.0.12 (for me at least). So if yours did not, I suggest you submit your game files along with a Support Ticket so Gary can take a look at why yours failed.
