The first save I made stopped advancing. I wasn't able to sim any games, return to the dashboard, or click the view stage button. Whenever I would try to click on these actions, an error would show. I made another save and now I'm able to sim games, but only sim games. I noticed both times my save "crashed" or "broke", it tells me to select a user.

Best thing to do is go back to our main website, click support at the top and open a ticket to send in the game files. What you will need to send in is the .cbb file for the league AND the folder that goes with it by the same name. Both of these items are in the saves folder. Zip them and attach them to your ticket explaining what is going on and we will take a look.
