Texting your players

Texting your players

Questions, questions, I've got lots of questions.

How do you handle texting your guys? I rarely get a positive result when I reach out to my players. I've got guys with 2.1 GPAs that need to get their grades up but they balk when I tell them to study, etc. Tried telling a slumping player who started the season red-hot to shoot more threes (as that is his strength). But I then had to tell him what NOT to do (drive to the basket, his weakness). He didn't like hearing that.

Well the majority of the issue is going to rely on the players. If they have a bad attitude or bad personality they're just not likely to care and its hard to do much about that - the game strives to be realistic in that sometimes you just can't change kids and all you can do is eventually cut bait with them and find someone else who fits better.
