Team and coach budgets

Team and coach budgets

Is it on purpose that raising maximum budget has no affect whatsoever on team budgets?

I understand this is just a maximum and doesn't mean every team increases by that amount. Maybe it's because we ported our league from 2024 so it has the old budget structure, but most teams did not have enough to hire 10 new coaches, we set the budgets higher but it had absolutely no affect on any team budget.

I would have thought it would at least add a proportional increase. For example if you go from max $35 to $40M and your team had $20M, it was 20/35, 57% of the maximum, so now it would have 57% of 40 = $23M. So IMHO the new budget should be the same % of the maximum as your old one.

Also I wonder why "Add Internal Hire" is defaulting contracts for assistant positions to $1M (whether it's internal hire or not).

Thanks, I'll look into it and make some corrections for these items.

I second this. I ported over from 24 and began the subsequent season with a -$2million recruiting budget

I tried the 9.0.2 beta for the pro version and the budgets are working great now. Plus position coaches are defaulting to $0.1M (at least for internal hires, the coaches on the hiring screen still have higher numbers). AND raising maximum budget now has an immediate effect. I'm not sure what effect but it's working.

If we could have those same budget adjustments in the college, we'll be in a very good position.
Also the pro version in the play calling weights, it lists an approximate pass percentage next to the weight. This is totally mint, can we get it in College too?

Thanks guys!

The college budgets work different than the pro ones so it will require some work to make sure when leagues migrate the budgets update. Will work on a college patch as soon as we get the pro one out the door.
