Maybe this has already been answered, but I haven’t found any posts about it. Will the roster be updated after the trade deadline?

I'm going to ask about it too how do we do it by ourselves? for example Anthony Davis still on the Lakers roster. can we move him to Dallas? or wait for the update?

You can do it by changing to the commissioner menu, but obviously if an official update would be a lot better, i want to believe it would also come with a ratings update, and obviously it eliminates the tedious work of having to do it at the start of a save

We have never changed the rosters beyond initial ratings upgrades/downgrades at the start of a season because it is meant to be a play through of the current season so your starting point is the rosters as they were at the start of the year. If we changed them to reflect roster moves people would be unhappy that they were starting a season in the way it did not start (and may want to continue as Dallas but keeping Luka for example).

If there was enough interest we can look at providing a second roster option but for now the default one would not be changed.

so there won't be a "trade deadline updated" for rosters?

I am considering adding it as a separate thing to the game - the default rosters will not be replaced because people want to start at the beginning of the season (and maybe not ruin their franchise if they want to play as Dallas) but I probably can just add it as a choice to start with the post deadline rosters and I am looking into that and it will take me a little bit of time to prepare them and prepare the update in the game

how about a "roster editor" implement into the game? so we could do the roster changes by ourselves.

Hi. Do you mean in addition to the editing options in the Commissioner's Office? (Edit/Add Players and Export to Database / Import from Database) I used those to edit the incoming draft prospects, swapping out one of them to replace with a real college player.

But for some reason, editing the Team Owners in the exported/imported database is not showing up in the game.

The editing of team owners does not get taken in because it would allow you to work around the challenge presented by them - if you had an owner that didn't want to spend money and you could just edit that to make him spend anything then you would not really be challenged in the challenge mode.
