I love the touch of adding D2 transfers in the game. I have noticed there has been quite a bit of elite D2 talent coming through the portal each year. Everytime I look at the transfer preview it is only filled with D2 transfers which doesn’t feel quite realistic.

Also are they supposed to come in with 0 stats to preview when looking at them in the transfer window? I know they don’t have any stats last year to put in but it does seem like kind of a crapshoot with the amount of prospects there are.

They may need to be toned down a bit - they do show as 0 stats because its pulling the stats from the database since the season has been reset so the current tracking stats are 0 for everyone and the players didn't exist in the game the prior season so they have no stats to pull from

Just got to my first portal session in my test run and out of 25 scouted D2 transfers, every single one was a 5 star player, many with several 100+ attribute ratings on the adjusted ratings scale.

Will this be getting toned down some in a future patch?

During the beta-testing I never contacted a D2 transfer player...but should have.

So today I scouted 20 D2 transfer players:

Here were their OVR ratings: 2 were A's, 5 were B's, 2 were C's, 10 were D's, and 1 was an F.

And here' were their current Star ratings: 2 were 4-1/2 stars; 2 were 4 stars; 3 were 3-1/2 stars; 0 were 3 stars; 2 were 2-1/2 stars; 6 were 2 stars; 4 were 1-1/2 stars; and 1 was a 1 star.

So while none were 5 star players, the D2's are definitely over-rated both in OVR and Star ratings.

One thing I've noted with some transfer players (non-D2) that I've landed, though, is that sometimes when they get onto my team roster their skill levels and ratings are lower than the scouted ratings I got during the Transfer Portal evals....so some of these D2 players may also be lower rated when they get onto team rosters and get more accurately rated.

It's really bad. The 20 you scouted did you do that at random or check the transfer magazine? Almost exclusively the top 25 in transfer portal magazine are basically all d2 transfers for me across multiple seasons. Alot of 5 stars that don't change. Also atleast for me they seemed easier to get even if it always seemed to take to session 6. And then after that as a small school I even got a 4.5 star d2 by just scouting and doing one of the lighter recruitments in session 7 for the first time for that player like he had nowhere else to go.

I am in 5 season in the Transfer Portal stage and I checked the transfer preview magazine and 23 out of 25 on the list were D2 players. Every season before this has had the same number or even higher. I decided to scout 20 of the players on the list and all have come back with A ovr grades. Like in the post before some might come in to a team with lower stats but the number is still very high and overalls the same. Many of the top rated transfers usually come for D1 schools not saying there isn’t good D2 transfers but definitely not as many as the game is creating.

This will be toned down in the next build
