NIL ?

Is there a reason we don't get NIL $ back if scholarship is revoked? I assume it is a package deal, not separate.

I'm not sure what you mean by "revoked". But if you mean a scholarship offer is not accepted, the money remains with the NIL Consortium for use in the future.

I mean if you decide to take away the scholarship offer.

It seems to me that if I offer a scholarship and then pull the offer (before it's accepted), I get back the NIL, but I'll check it out.

Glad to see I wasn't the only one that seemed to experience this. Was wondering if I was doing something wrong. Playing as IU Indy, I offered NIL to two players and it didn't entice them at all so revoked the scholarships and looked elsewhere and it kept saying NIL collective was "---". I didn't know if it was because what stage in the recruiting I was or if it's because that player hadn't actually signed a LOI with another school that I didn't receive NIL money back. As soon as you revoke the scholarship the money should come back into your NIL collective.

Is anybody else still missing NIL money? According to email the NIL Collective should be $31,400. I only have two scholarships, one kid accepted and got NIL for $12,400. I should have 19,000 left but recruiting screen shows "--- NIL Collective". Is there a drop down to see exactly where the rest of the NIL money is?

I don’t have the issue of getting NIL returned to me anymore. One update I would like to see for NIL would be being able to choose the amount of NIL money to offer to recruits. It seems to be random to me how much is offered and would be nice to be able to control that.

Here's a comment by Gary on a related topic that was made during First Access:

Thank you for the input. You are right on the NIL front - its totally new to the game so we'll see how it works and what tweaks need to be made. The offers are meant to be inconsistent so that its not a straight x OVR = x $ formula and also allows for some collectives to "want a player more". When it comes to offering multiples at once the collective is not going to offer way below market (unless thats all it has) so if you only have enough really for one player and you want it split four ways its not going to do that. It will just go after whoever the collective wants most. If you want to ensure one guy gets it then offer the scholarship and the NIL option to him that week and then go for a second offer the following week or whatever. Also some collectives are going to spend what they have to hope they get a guy which could lead to an overspend while others like a big time one might not pay up as much for a lesser player because they could easily get another one of those so there is quite a bit of unpredictability purposefully built in.

I believe this will be a future change to the NIL system where I will allow you as the coach to instruct the collective how much you want the player and therefore allow them to offer a big, normal or small offer. With it being introduced this year I really wanted it to be a solid feature first before I got into expanding it to do more.
