just picked up game yesterday, and version reads 13.0, but first access version reads current version 13.0.12...how do get this version of game?

You want 13.0. 13.12 was for the beta testers. 13.0 is newer.

So if we were first access and on 13.0.12 do we need to reinstall? Or is the latest 13.0.12 valid?

13.0.x are beta builds

13.0 is the latest build and 13.1 will be tomorrow so you definitely always want the latest build

13.0 version...
