Screen goes white

I am ten years into my current save. Just changed teams for the first time. I noticed that when advancing through recruiting phases in my first offseason, the screen goes white for 10-20 seconds before returning to normal after each period. Just kind of annoying, not really interrupting gameplay at all.

Did you by chance just do a windows update? This happened a couple of weeks ago to some people and seemed to go away after a day and a reboot of their machine.
